BIND 9.6 on NetBSD 5?
Hi,
Is anyone else running BIND 9.6 from pkgsrc on NetBSD 5 on macppc? I'm
seeing BIND lock up every day or two. At first, it was complaining about
not having enough file handles and was locking up every few hours:
Feb 19 07:31:42 grittykitty named[168]: max open files (1772) is smaller
than max sockets (4096)
I upped that, and now it will run for a day or two, but eventually require
a kill -9 to stop it.
I don't think it's a package problem because I have BIND 9.6 running on
Amiga, VAX, and m68k Mac machines with NetBSD 5 without the same issues.
BIND is the latest 9.6.0pl1 from pkgsrc, and NetBSD 5 is from the netbsd-5
branch from 17-February-2009.
Ideas, anyone?
John
