I have 86MB, don't usually enable DIAGNOSTIC and DEBUG.

I was building with "COPTS+= -m68040", without that it builds, used
to build fine with it.

It boots for me as well, only have the esp SCSI driver in my kernel
though.

Which SCSI driver are you using ?
