Subject: bootpd problem in -current

When trying to start bootpd on a PC running -current compiled on 2
April this error occurs:

# bootpd
Can not get my IP address
#

Why is that? The machine's NIC seems to be configured correctly and
it has no trouble (I've noticed) otherwise.

Turning on debugging produces no more information:

# bootpd -d 9 -s
Can not get my IP address
#

and the only entry in /var/log/messages is:

Apr 15 17:49:35 router bootpd[377]: version 2.4.1

There was mention of the same message back in 2000 [1] but no
resolution I could find.
