I can't imagine that anyone who had actually tried to use that thing
would ever recommend it!  ;-)

It seriously sucks, mostly because it only seems to search the indexes,
not the actual mail folders.

Even the indexes there are about the most useless I've ever seen of any
mailing list archives -- it takes forever to manually search for
anything, evn if you know the general time period.

A really good search engine would allow simultaneous searches of many
related lists, such as all of the NetBSD lists at once...

It would be really cool if someone familiar with Mhonarc or Hypermail or
some other more advanced hypertext e-mail linking tool were to volunteer
to index the mailing lists and/or provide resources for such an index.

If only there were 25 or more hours in the day and even less need for
sleep!

On the other hand, there are those commercial sites indexing mailing
lists, and Dejanews has quite a bit of NetBSD stuff in it too.
