I've just tested a very -current kernel:

    NetBSD 2.99.14 (NADA) #0: Sun Jan 16 08:26:53 MSK 2005

It's booted ok with kloader(4) (both my old kernel of mid-December,
and itself), hpcboot build 11 (of uncertain descent, might be a
version I compiled myself) and build 12 from cvs.
