(this message was originally sent to current-users on May 25th, but there was
no reply..  so I'm sending it here..  note that BAL_OFFSET_TABLE should really
be _GLOBAL_OFFSET_TABLE.... ie, it's dropping the first 4 chars.)  This is not
a cross build, but a native one.

I have just built and installed a 4 day old -current system on my hpcmips with
no hitches..  attempting make in xsrc completed with no errors.  make install
yielded:

installing in programs/appres...
