With emacs I dont think its running out of memmory or anything. Emacs

With emacs running but not loaded any files it is showing 12M total
size, 9376K resident size for me. Looks like tmux adds 5M.

What to you see for memory and swap if you run top(1) with nothing else
running.

I have a sneaking suspicion that emacs and tmux both do not like my
terminal somehow. The $TERM variable is set to wsvt25 which should be
fine from what I gather.

The default for the console is wsvt25.
