If you are trying to do what is described in that mail, you first have
to be running paneld, which burns a lot of cpu. If you have the right
version of the OS and you have the /dev/lcd or /dev/panel0 device(s)
(lcd is a symlink to panel0 [36,0] on my RaQ2+ running 3.99.20), you can
just echo the right string into /dev/lcd.
