This is a really interesting approach, thanks! :) Basically, there is no real ARMv6 hardware that boots from EFI, but the „virt“ machine type can be made to do exactly that. I’ll give it a try!

I also just remembered that I do in fact have a RPi2 lying around somewhere, maybe that would work in terms of real hardware.
