RPI5 hadrware design has replaced some essential pieces with new ones,
which are not backward compatible, so it seems each OS will have to do
the usual rounds through bootloaders, DeviceTree files, OS kernel and
drivers, and the userspace, as before.  Currently I see only the most
recent RaspiOS and Ubuntu 23.10 in shape for RPI5.  If NetBSD 10
release is about to freeze anytime soon, the only practicable move may
be to make it clear in the installation notes that it does not support
RPI5.

Let me suggest to resolve the unfinished business with RPI4 support in
NetBSD 10, in that the image does not boot by default (see my recent
thread).

For reference, this is what RPI5 serial console says about the NetBSD
10.0RC1 image that boots on RPI4B (after the manual firmware updates, as
discussed):
