I think not all Pinebook Pros have an SPI Flash -- there was some
recent controversy about it.
I would have expected sysinst to make the system bootable without any
extra effort. If not, that seems like a bug.
As for myself, I downloaded the latest image and extracted it onto an
SD card, then managed to boot from there with the help of a serial
console cable. I have to say that the current kernel leaves me
unimpressed:
- bwfm is as unreliable as always -- I use an urtwn for Wi-Fi
- The trackpad in X gives a pointer that jumps up and down the left
edge of the screen and produces lots of random clicks. A USB mouse
works.
- glxgears in the default window size gets a ridiculous 15-20 fps and
sometimes segfaults on startup
Should I file bugs for these? The bwfm issue is well-known, and I seem
to recall a discussion about the trackpad issue. But it is not fixed.
FWIW, my productive PBP NetBSD installation is on 9.99.92, with much
faster video and working trackpad.
