Re: HEADS UP: Raspberry PI kernel in armv7 now built from GENERIC

The RPI loader loads the correct DTB, just as u-boot loads the the correct DTB for e.g. Allwinner boards.

This is great news Nick! Thanks for the update.

Can I confirm that we are specifically referring to the kernel? In other words this doesn't mean that all RPI's with ARMv7 will have full functionality. As far as I understand this requires the device tree to be constructed for each model of RPi.

Hi Folks,

just a quick heads-up to say that the Raspberry PI kernel in the armv7
image is now built using the GENERIC kernel config.

I don't expect any problems, but please send-pr(1) if you find any.

Thanks,
Nick
