how to build src/release/evbarm/binary/kernel/netbsd-RPI.bin.gz?

Yes, seriously.
"build.sh kernel=RPI" and "build.sh "releasekernel=RPI" only gives me 
.../netbsd-RPI.gz, but what is the magic to build netbsd-RPI.bin.gz?

I know a full "build.sh release" does it, but that's a LOT of overhead.

What I try to do is build a RPI disk image (cd etc ; nbmake-evbarm 
smp_rpi), which needs the *.bin.* file.

Any clues?
