A4000 hangs

Hi,

experienced troubles with A4000/040 (16 MB).

During "large" compilation jobs (bash, samba, ...), the system suddenly 
hangs. Seems random.

Still get "ping" replies, but neither console nor SSH connections nor 
running compilation jobs react anymore.

However, rebooting via A+A+CTRL gives a "cannot lock on myself" (don't 
recall exact message) panic from the pager (has perhaps nothing to do with 
the problem itself) - but the machine will reboot, so I can't do anything 
on the debugger :-(

Anybody else seeing this? Perhaps RAM failure -> Can someone recommend a 
good memory "stress tester" app?
