resume compilation?

Hi,

I'm trying to compile mysql4-server from pkgsrc on my A1200 030.

After a couple of days of "make install", I stoped the process.

I was wondering if there is any way of resuming the compilation from
where it left off, wont a "make install" re-untar the source tarball and
start all over again?

(PS - Is there a guide somewhere on how I can setup a cross-compiler for
m68k to run on linux/x86?)
