I have not had any problems running NetBSD 1.6 kernels so far.

The last kernel I have run is:

NetBSD 1.6_BETA1 (GENERIC) #0: Thu May 23 16:43:53 MDT 2002
mhitch@laptop:/usr/home/mhitch/NetBSD-1.6/src/sys/arch/amiga/compile/GENERIC

  This was a cross-build on my i386 laptop (running a 1.5Z? system).

I've also just booted the kernel:

NetBSD 1.6_BETA1 (GENERIC) #4: Fri May 31 00:32:40 MDT 2002
mhitch@laptop:/usr/home/mhitch/NetBSD-1.6/obj/amiga/.amiga/sys/arch/amiga/compile/GENERIC

This was a more recent cross-build on my laptop.

  Also:

NetBSD 1.6A (GENERIC) #3: Fri May 31 03:23:27 MDT 2002
mhitch%alpha.msu.montana.edu@localhost:/altroot/a/obj/amiga/.amiga/sys/arch/amiga/compile/GENERIC

This was a cross-build of a -current system on my alpha.

Note: all three of these kernels were booted with the bootxx_ffs/boot.amiga
from the first May 23 cross-build on the laptop.
