Okay, so you have to recompile a kernel with option PCMCIAVERBOSE.

For NetBSD 1.5.1, the sources are in
ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/NetBSD-1.5.1/source/sets/

You need only syssrc.tgz for your purpose.
