No, what I meant was that the _pixel_ _error_ should not show up even
when xconsole is not working.

Ok, gonna make sure that xconsole is running when X11 is up. However
the pixel errors are still somewhat troubleing ...

yea right ... "interfere" in the sense of making pixel errors.

             xconsole yes, but the pixel errors aren't stadard Unix
             behaviour.

Hmmm ... I'm not into this business (unfortunately). I can do basic C
stuff only. The driver is really some floors above my level.
