Xstreamtodev fails after 3%

Hi folks,
When writing the miniroot.fs to the swap partition, like ist is described 
in the INSTALL file, fails after 3% without saying a word. It just quits. 
We tried another Harddrive, another gzip (to unzip the miniroot.fs.gz and 
another miniroot.fs (redownload from ftp.netbsd.org). The HD boots either 
up to the point where the root partition needs to be given. while booting 
the two floppydisks are mentioned in the output mit none of the partitions 
on the HD, or th HD itself, just the "unconfigured" BUDDAH IDE controller 
which connects the HD to the rest of the AMIGA (2000).

Any hints?
