It depends on how many "1000's" per day may it get... ;-)
And how much real data traffic do those hits generate.

Mine stock A3000 (remember? 68030/25/16MB) running NetBSD 1.3 used to accept
an average of one to one-and-half of them while serving several mailing lists
(some of pretty high traffic) and anonymous ftp at the same time...

No, you don't need pientum x xxxMHz and a micorosoft_windows_nt_server (as
many would like to lead you to believe) to run a good server.
