-csh (tcsh)

While saying 'ps -j', I get the following (shortened):

USER PID PPID PGID SESS JOBC STAT TT TIME COMMAND
root 244 241 244 6c0ac0 0 Is+ p0 0:00.35 -csh (tcsh)
root 242 233 242 6c02a0 0 Ss p1 0:00.42 -csh (tcsh)
root 220 1 220 6c10c0 0 Is e5 0:00.58 -tcsh (tcsh)

1. What does the dash ('-') in front of the csh mean?
2. What does the shell in brackets mean?

I didn't find this in ps(1), or any UNIX book (well, it must be in
there but I didn't find it).
