Oh, I guess, just coined.
I have _never never_ seen an executable with more than 6 MB of text segment.
I guess upping it to 8 or 16 should work fine for everybody. The normal
total data size limit (USRSTACK) is err, 224 MB I think; so theres enough
room.
But note, that I am just guessing; in particular, I don't know how shared
libraries are mapped in, and if there's some limit imposed by them.
I think that people who might know are on this list; thats why I didnt answer
to your other copy of this question --- I hoped that e.g. Christian or
Michael would do it.
