1.3_ALPHA base and comp distrib. problem? Super72 ?
1- I've downloaded base and comp 1.3_ALPHA distribution archives and
installed then by hand (not using any install script), with no special
problem.
When I tried to compile the 1.3 current kernel source, some of the compiler
include files where missing:
- "/usr/include/machine/exe*.h" where in "/usr/include/sys/"
- "/usr/include/vm/lock.h" was in "/usr/include/sys"
- I had to create a symbolic link "/usr/include/lib" -> "/sys/lib"
After doing these changes it compiled ok.
- Is this a distribution problem?
2- I use 800x600 Super72 mode on my monitor with a patched monitor driver under
AmigaDOS. My monitor is the standar 1942, I used MonitorKiller to tune it,
and it works perfectly.
I enabled SUPER72 mode, and compiled the kernel with it.
After booting with the new kernel, I used "iteconfig -w 800 -h 600" to switch
to Super72 mode and it didn't synchronize.
I compiled the kernel again with a modified "grfabs_cc.c" with the other (83
HZ)
parameter, and with other parameters taken from "MonitorKiller". But none of
them
worked. This time the image dind't synchronize vertically, the visible area
was
moved to the right, and the text started in the left of the visible area.
- How may I do it work?
- Is it possible to use grfconfig for grf0?
- Is there any utility (like the one wich exists to convert CyberModes) to
generate the correct parameters from the Amiga monitor driver?
Thank you in advance and Happy porting
Inaki
