Using A2024 with X11R6.1 Xserver?

Is the A2024 still supported with the X11R6.1 X server?  When I try to
use the parameters that I used with XDaniver,
                /usr/local/X11R6/bin/X -cc 0 -width 1024 -height 800 -depth 2
I get an error.  I think it's No screen available, but I didn't write
it down.  If it's supported, what do I need to specify to bring it up?
