I just tried a recent build of -current with the same poor result. The bootloader works fine and I can interact with it, but as soon as the kernel starts, and the text turns green, the output is scrambled (lots of green blobs vaguely reminiscent of lines of something, as if the video horizontal refresh is off. I would be surprised if the bootloader was the problem, though I haven't tried any older kernel. I actually have no reason to believe that any older kernel would support this MacBook7,1 system well enough to do any better than -current, unless someone has actually made it work in the past and can prove me wrong. :-) Maybe someone can point me at the place where either the bootloader or the kernel changes the video mode to full-screen green-on-black text. -- Greg A.
