/boot.cfg does not exist.  I am not, of course, using -o bootconf.  I'm
using /usr/mdec/boot and /usr/mdec/bootxx_ffsv1 from stock 8.0 (well,
not quite stock, but the changes I've made didn't touch those; they are
limited to device drivers - sys/net/if_loop.c, sys/conf/majors,
distrib/sets/lists/comp/mi, and various files in sys/dev/).

Is /boot.cfg necessary for timeouts to work?  I didn't notice anything
about it in installboot(8).
