I have fixed your recommendations, thank you. It seems as if on your
Linux box pkgsrc doesn't check the dependency for vte and lua. I
deleted vte package on my NetBSD@i386 and it was then automatically
installed as a dependency and termit works fine. So now I do not know
how to fix the Linux problem.

Download Intel® Parallel Studio Eval
Try the new software tools for yourself. Speed compiling, find bugs
proactively, and fine-tune applications for parallel performance.
See why Intel Parallel Studio got high marks during beta.
