I guess you mean nagios-plugins.

nagios-plugins is a desperate POS, and the version 1.4 that I've just
checked did not change anything about it.

What is needed for pkgsrc inclusion is the following:
  1. a way to easily select which plugins are to be built
  2. make sure all scripts do not make too much assumptions about the
     OS being Linux or FreeBSD.

1 requires a complete rewrite of the configure script, 2 will probably
need a rewrite of a large number of the plugins.

I'm really not sure it is worth the effort anymore.
