Using native gfortran on linux

Hi,
   On our Archlinux systems I have the following set in mk.conf

PKGSRC_FORTRAN= gfortran
FC= gfortran

to use the native gfortran.  This was working, at least up to 6 months 
ago.  But now if I try and build something like libtool-fortran it adds 
a dependency on lang/gcc15 and tries to build that to get a fortran.

How am I supposed to specify using the native compiler now?
