I've now updated to 4.6.2, which includes Qt 6.9 support. I'm not sure
if we should keep a separate package preserving 3.6.2 -- I see FreeBSD
ports has done this -- opinions welcome.

There may be something I missed in reviewing and handling further
upstream refactoring between 4.5.2 and 4.6.2, but it works for me on
NetBSD 11.99.3/amd64. I have got a couple of segfaults, one on exit,
the other after it had been running for some time, with some test
editing made successfully. Testing and feedback welcome.
