XFCE4 xscreensaver integration

Hello,

I use XFCE4 in all my NetBSD machines and I have a little problem in all 
of them (amd64 and aarch64). When I press "block screen" nothing occurs. 
I have made a workaround adding a launcher that issues 
"xscreensaver-command --lock" command to lock the screen, having 
"xscreensaver &" running previously.

This works fine but I would like to know if it can be done in a more 
proper way.

I think that it worked fine time ago but not sure cause I have a mix of 
several operating systems in my brain...
