No go. The error message is still
memory allocation of 70470504 bytes failed
Compiling cert_storage v0.0.1 (/usr/pkgsrc/www/firefox/work/firefox-138.0.4/s
ecurity/manager/ssl/cert_storage)

Compiling authrs_bridge v0.1.0 (/usr/pkgsrc/www/firefox/work/firefox-138.0.4/

Next will be "time travel" to older rust versions with cvs.
Oh, BTW,
https://firefox-source-docs.mozilla.org/writing-rust-code/update-policy.html
says that firefox 138 is built with rust 1.85.0, and minimum
version is 1.82.0. Will try 1.85.1 next.
