I ran port2pkg on the FreeBSD cad/freecad (v1.0.0) but many, many
errors so I will wait to see what you end up with.

V1.0 is a major improvement and is now a pretty nice package. Since
you can create objects using python entirely, as well as just using
python scripts to assist, and it supports openscad to some extent
(I don't know), I think it is a very usable alternative to openscad.
