Not if you're on Windows 7 or older.

Actual OS support for core pkgsrc infrastructure (pkgsrc/mk etc) is
unintrusive.

Shed the patches from packages for Interix, add best wishes to
pkgsrc/bootstrap/README.Interix and retain the pkgsrc platform support
as that's isolated?
