databases/libpqxx

I see that databases/libpqxx version 6.2.2 is out. The version in pkgsrc
is 4.0.1. The issue is that from 6.0.0 on, C++11 is required.

1) is this a price worth paying?
2) https://wiki.netbsd.org/pkgsrc/gcc/
   seems to have gone quiet without a resolution?

Thoughts?
