Hmm, from what I observe, readline was installed already, the
gnupg2 Makefile included mk/readline.buildlink3.mk and readline was also
present in my /var/db/pkg, but gnupg2 installation still complained
as shown below.
It is expected behavior of mk/readline.buildlink3.mk.
If builtin editline is found, it will be used,
else if builtin readline is found, it will be used,
otherwise, editline will be used (and installed from pkgsrc).
(you can change the behavior with setting READLINE_DEFAULT variable)
So I guessed, builtin detection is something wrong, or
you have stale work directory.
For later case, you can try `make clean' first.
