qemu needs an upgrade

I am trying to run Linux through qemu.

I face the following issue: "8254 timer not connected" which seems a bug
in old versions and likely to have been fixed.

Current pkgsrc revision is qemu-0.15.1 while the latest release seems 1.1.0.

Can someone advise on this?
