Now, pkgsrc is feature freeze for pkgsrc-2008Q4.
Unless the update of tor is critical bug nor security fixes,
please wait until pkgsrc-2008Q4 out.

You can still maintain packages
  create patch for update
   or
  re-import newer version into pkgsrc-wip
and
  update request with send-pr.
