I've found a work around for this one. Inserting

    #define G_ATOMIC_I486 1

at the top of "glib/gatomic.c" did it for me. I guess this is some 
x86_64 problem, though I don't understand this completely, as I did
specify

    ABI=32

in my etc/mk.conf.
