Since cus.cam was switched off, I no longer have access to a SunOS box.
If this breaks for someone, we should see a PR.
The possible fixes would be:
1) figure out why gettext doesn't build on whatever platform.
2) if 1) not possible, fight with gtk3 to use pregenerated files.
I didn't see you saying "this won't work", just "it might not work".
