>Description:
I wondered why my macppc machine was behind on some package versions compared to an x86_64 machine, even though they are both on netbsd 10.1 and "pkgin update" avers there is nothing to do. On investigation, it looks like the cause is sloppy maintenance of the package repository. AFAICT from looking at

https://cdn.netbsd.org/pub/pkgsrc/packages/NetBSD/powerpc/

both "10.0" and "10.1" are symlinks to 10.0_2025Q2, although later versions exist. Looking at the adjacent x86_64 directory, "10.0" and "10.1" are symlinks to 10.0_2025Q4. Shouldn't the macppc links have been updated similarly?

(I did not look to see if any other arches have been similarly neglected, but it'd be a good idea to do so.)
>How-To-Repeat:
1. Do "pkgin update; pkgin upgrade" on a macppc 10.1 machine.

2. Note that some packages are out of date. The one that got my attention was p5-IPC-Run, which is still on its 20231003.0nb1 not 20250809.0 release.
>Fix:
I don't know how these symlinks are supposed to be maintained, so I have nothing very useful to offer.
