>Description:
Hello,

I have a problem in my XFCE4 desktop on my raspberrypi 4 that occurs since several months, I do not remember in what pkgsrc Quarter it stopped working. I cannot get launchers icons in Desktop. No icons shown, even though there are files in Desktop directory that worked before:

netbsd-raspa4$ ls -lh
total 771B
-rwxr-xr-x 1 ramiro users 139B Apr 4 16:02 GNURADIO.desktop
drwx------ 3 ramiro users 512B Nov 9 2024 Old Firefox Data
-rw-r--r-- 1 ramiro users 120B Sep 18 12:39 firefox128.desktop

netbsd-raspa4$

netbsd-raspa4$ ps ax | grep xfde
 8962 pts/1 Sl 0:02.18 xfdesktop --sm-client-id 11c0a801cb000175819052600000023670000
   46 pts/2 R+ 0:00.00 grep xfde
netbsd-raspa4$

xfdesktop is running on the background as it should. "xfdesktop --reload" or stopping and re-running xfdesktop does not fix the situation.

Days ago I installed a fresh NetBSD 10.1 and XFCE4 in a AMD64 Intel Nuc machine with the same failure, so it is not a problem of old XCFE4 configuration files lying around.

Desktop icons configuration is set to "icons launchers and files" in Desktop configuration screen. So it should work but it doesn't. On the other hand, "icons of minimized applications" setting do work as expected and icons appear on the desktop for minimized applications.

Problem is the same in NetBSD amd64

Any help will be appreciated.

Regards.
Ramiro.

>How-To-Repeat:
Just try to create launchers in desktop. Also existing ones in ~/Desktop directory do not appear.
>Fix:
I do not know.
