 What's the exact error message you received? Where you say "wanting",
 did it say "can't buildlink"? That would mean you need to update the
 version of tiff you have installed so that it itself pulls in lerc.

 This will result in breakage across the tree like you're seeing (if
 you haven't updated tiff to 4.7.0nb3), since there wasn't a recursive
 revbump made.
