NetBSD MyNBSD.home 10.1 NetBSD 10.1 (GENERIC) #0: Mon Dec 16 13:08:11 UTC 2024 mkrepro%mkrepro.NetBSD.org@localhost:/usr/src/sys/arch/amd64/compile/GENERIC amd64
>Description:
On a fresh installed NetBSD 10.1, ThinkPad x86_64 laptop I got pkgin 25.5.1 (using SQLite 3.49.2) for binary packages. /usr/pkg/etc/pkgin/repositories.conf has one line that reads:
https://cdn.netbsd.org/pub/pkgsrc/packages/NetBSD/$arch/10.1/All
I installed firefox-138.0.4, lauched CTWM and xterm by startx command. But issuing firefox command in xterm resulted in a quite silent failure that echos back "Memory fault (core dumped)", and then there is a coredump file. To test, I also installed dillo 3.2.0nb2 from pkgin and it worked just fine when launching and opening a internet webpage.
>How-To-Repeat:
Installed NetBSD 10.1, launch CTWM session, in xterm run pkgin in firefox and then firefox
