 Thank you for the detailed analysis. I could easily reproduce the
 problem in a test.
 
 The weird thing is that the error message contains a control character
 <0x88>. It is:
 
 sh: 1: Syntax error: Word "/d<0x88>"p" unexpected (expecting ")")
 
 I'm preparing a fix.
