 It has been running with 9_BETA for quite a while, but I only compile 
 tested it with OpenSSL 1.0. Thus the PR.
 
 I could run test it with OpenSSL 1.0.x on NetBSD 8.99.24/amd64. I have 
 no wide spread test environments like other
 
 OS pkgsrc runs on.
