>Environment:
NetBSD nadia.hh.kew.com 8.1 NetBSD 8.1 (GENERIC) #0: Fri May 31 08:43:59 UTC 2019 mkrepro@mkrepro.N

>Description:
tn3270 displays obvious errors correcting to real and emulated IBM mainframes. Rather than trying to fix tn370, it should be replaced by c3270.

Note that FreeBSD already offers x3270 and c3270 instead of tn3270.
>How-To-Repeat:
An example to connecting the public domain VM/370 SixPack (see http://www.smrcc.org.uk/members/g4ugm/VM370.htm) showsd "$<100/>" in error on the first screen. Doing same with x3270 or c3270 shows no such error.

Another (public) machine to test with is the LCM+L 4361, but it's down as 12 Sept 2019.
It can be reached at: tn3270 tty.livingcomputers.org 24 or x3270 tty.livingcomputers.org 24

>Fix:
Replace functionality of tn3270 package with c3270 package.

c3270 is built from the same source as the existing x11/x3270 package, cloning the x3270 package and adding --enable-c3270 should be a low effort task for the current maintainer of x3270.

tn3270 should be then be obsoleted and users redirected to c3270.
