lang/perl5 5.28.0’s own self-tests on NetBSD/amd64 8.0, including the Unicode-related ones, all look basically fine. Same for textproc/discount 2.2.4.

The problem here must be with the Perl bindings to discount or the Perl tests around the bindings. (Or perhaps both.)
