 According to upstream, this has been fixed in the current version 2.1.1. 
 A quote from the web page:
 
 "Mostly a release with the /huge/ amount of critical bug fixes brought 
 to the library since 2 years.[sic]"
 
 So it's probably a good idea to pull this version in anyway.
