Shame on me since I recently updated my pkgsrc tree but the Makefile of 
p5-Perl4-CoreLibs was locally modified (I don't know why...)

Thanks to this issue, I have discovered the -C option of cvs. Sorry to 
have opened a PR for an old bug and thank you for your lightning 
response!
